100 Days of Transformation
Day 21 – “YOUR NOW”
Welcome to a day that has a potential to bring change in your life. Remember to read this message out loud and read only this message for the day. You inspire for you to be inspired.
Remember: #ItsPossibleBecauseItsDoable
Today I want to talk about something we all have, “your now”. I don’t like talking about the past but what I have realized is that your now is somehow as result of your past. I don’t know where or how far you are now, but what I am sure about is that you have your now.
It’s easy to feel disheartened when looking at the present moment, especially when surrounded by people who seem to be succeeding. However, it’s important to remember that your current situation does not have to define your future. Our present moments are filled with infinite potential and possibilities, and you can absolutely be in a place of joy and success. Energize yourself with empowering thoughts and stay motivated!
Allow yourself to take the higher ground by refusing to succumb to the “NOW” trap. During my lectures at Westville Prison, I often witness victims of “NOW”. When one is hungry, it can be tempting to satisfy their needs instantly; when one is angry, their impulses may lead them to act out; and when one’s plans do not go as expected, it may be easy to give up. Yet, it is important to remember that your future will always prove to be brighter than the present. Find strength in this truth and strive to stay focused on your better tomorrow.
It is important to remain hopeful and motivated rather than letting the current difficulties steer you toward quitting or taking drastic measures. Although this current moment is difficult, you are much stronger than you give yourself credit for. It is important to remember that this moment, too, shall pass and become a part of your past. Avoid taking decisions at this time which will lead you to regret in the future. Instead, strive to persist and find ways to work through any challenges you face.
Plan of Action:
1. Take some time to reflect on the past and how it has shaped your current situation.
2. Evaluate your current skills and strengths.
3. Take stock of what you need to be successful in the future.
4. Develop a plan and take small steps towards achieving your goals.
5. Make sure your thoughts are aligned with what you hope to achieve.
6. Set realistic short-term goals that you can achieve.
7. Remain hopeful and motivated.
8. Avoid making decisions that may lead to regret in the future.
