100 Days of Transformation
Day 25 – “LET THEM THINK YOU HAVE EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOU DO”
Welcome to a day that has a potential to bring change in your life. Remember to read this message out loud and read only this message for the day. You inspire for you to be inspired.
Remember: #ItsPossibleBecauseItsDoable
A lot of us go through those moments where we’re misunderstood. You may have been accused of thinking too highly of yourself by friends, family, partners, parents, and colleagues – even your landlord! It’s hard to hear those words, and it’s easy to let them become our reality. But here’s what I want you to know: your reality is far bigger than someone else’s opinion. Don’t let them win – always remember your worth!
I want to remind you that you have everything inside you to be successful. You are capable of greatness and never forget that! No matter what others think of you, stay proud and never waiver in your confidence. Seize every opportunity life brings you and never be afraid to be the best version of yourself. Don’t forget to take time to smell the roses and enjoy the fact that you have the freedom to be happy and express yourself in any way you choose!
You are the centre of your own happiness. When you accept yourself and treat yourself with the love and kindness you deserve, the world around you begins to transform. Loving your true self sets the foundations of success, as it’s not possible to give what you don’t have. Turn inwards and explore your own depths and learn how to give the same undying love to yourself as you naturally bring others. Give yourself time and space to grow, blossom and become whole. Your self-love is the best gift you can give to yourself. There is no one who knows you better than you – trust your own inner wisdom.
I want to share something with you that has been hidden for far too long. You may think those around you are loving and supportive but in reality, they are holding you back. It’s a phenomenon called ‘Pull Him/Her Down’ (PHD) syndrome. People close to us often make meaningless comments and false observations in order to keep us from developing and growing. It appears they have our best interests at heart but upon closer inspection, you’ll find they’re actually playing for the other side.
You are truly wealthy when you abide with God. He reminded us in John 15:4, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, but must remain in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.” With Him in your life, you have it all. This is what frustrates them. They can sense His presence in you and they desperately long to have what you possess, but they are too proud to inquire.
Plan of Action:
1. Practice self-love – dedicate regular time to practice activities that lead to self-reflection, growth, fulfilment and appreciation of yourself.
2. Nurture your mind – be conscious of which thoughts, beliefs and opinions you keep and be mindful of your inner dialogue.
3. Stay true to your own story – trust your judgement and know that your opinion matters when making decisions.
4. Reject ‘PHD’ syndrome – be aware of people’s intentions and agendas and maintain healthy boundaries in your relationships.
5. Rely on your faith – focus on relationships with God and other spiritual persons that make up your spiritual life.
6. Discover your own gifts – explore what God has equipped you with and fully accept them.
7. Be free – let go of the worries that trap you and the fears that limit you.
8. Stand firm – always remain trustworthy and confident in your true self, despite dissenters’ opinions.
