Day 19 – “YOU ARE NOT PERFECT”
Welcome to a day that has a potential to bring change in your life. Remember to read this message out loud and read only this message for the day. You inspire for you to be inspired.
Remember: #ItsPossibleBecauseItsDoable
The biggest challenge for many people is to make the first step because they want things to be perfect before they can start. Sadly, this erroneous assumption causes many to shy away from making their first step towards achieving their dreams. We were never perfect. Rather, we strive daily and continuously to move closer to that ideal. In other words, we are working in the direction towards perfection.
By embracing our humanness, we can develop a strong sense of self and ultimately shape our future liberated from the pressures of perfection. Knowing our unique realities can be more comfortable than unknown external forces, such as the need to please others. All this is to say that when we focus on our internal world, we often find ourselves better equipped to cope with life’s challenges.
Many of us make the mistake of letting the fear of failure prevent us from striving for success. We think that if we can’t be perfect, then what’s the point in trying? However, it is important to understand that progress, not perfection, is the goal. Don’t be afraid to take risks and make mistakes – learn from them rather than allowing them to become a source of fear and disillusionment. The truth is, most of the time it isn’t necessary to be perfect. Rather, leaving our pride at the door and solving our problems is often the key to success. Most importantly, don’t let lies get in the way. Taking the hard road is almost always worth it in the long run.
It’s ok that you haven’t acted on business ideas, resolved relationship tensions, or solved family issues yet – don’t think you need to do it all perfectly right away. Life isn’t about being perfect, but it is about striving for perfection. Don’t let the fear of appearing imperfect or “losing” stop you from taking action and improving your odds of realizing success. Challenges are to be embraced and you have the power to create satisfying solutions.
Plan of Action:
1. Acknowledge and accept that perfection is not necessary or attainable
2. Broaden perspective by learning from mistakes and taking risks
3. Reflect on the inner world in order to gain insight and understanding
4. Reject external pressures and strive for progress, not perfection
5. Let go of pride and focus on problem-solving
6. Take action and don’t be afraid to fail
7. View challenges as an opportunity to improve
8. Believe in yourself and your ability to create satisfying solutions
